Your wireless router uses radio frequencies to transmit internet to your WiFi-connected devices like smartphones, laptops, tablets and more.
You will notice that you have 2 connections to it, a 2.4ghz connection and a 5ghz connection.
Which one should you use?
2.4ghz will go further in your home than the 5ghz connection.
However, printers and IOT devices like video doorbells etc will only connect to 2.4ghz that is why some people who swap to 5ghz under the assumption that it will make a difference may discover they cannot print.
The 5ghz may give you a faster connection to Wi-Fi as nothing uses that frequency but may struggle to go the distance in your home or office.
