Let’s say you like to let your spouse , partner or family member know when you’re on your way home from work.

It’s easy enough to send them a text, but Leaving Work can do this for you automatically.

You download the app, allow it access to your location, then save your recipient’s phone number. The app figures out when you’ve left work by accessing your GPS location.

When it detects you’ve left work, it will automatically text the number you’ve saved.

You can customise the text of the message, and you can also set the hours during which the app works (helpful if you leave the office for lunch).

You can also pause it whenever you feel like it. There’s no need for the recipient to have the app installed, either; they will just get your message as a regular text.

And then there is the slide whistle. The comedic counterpart.

The Fred & Friends Sip & Slide ($12) is a combination slide whistle and a spoon. The novelty utensil has all the things you would want from a spoon, It also has something one might not expect from a spoon: a whistle

Pooductive

A new chat app called Pooductive aims to create a miniature social network specifically for anyone who gets bored while they are doing a number two, and want to talk to people in the same position.

The free iPhone app, facilitates one-on-one or group chats based on your location. You can choose to message people nearby or be connected with users in other cities or countries.

“The fact that there is only little to do whilst tending to ‘number two’ is common knowledge, and truly a first world problem,” the developers write on Pooductive’s website.

“Think of it as a magical place where people from around the globe can anonymously meet to enjoy their time of zen, peace and tranquility together, by conversing, philosophizing and sharing ideas with each other. You could simply call it a messaging app if you wanted to, but it’s so much more.”
