2 Weeks With The iPhone X – My Thoughts

The iPhone X was released 2 weeks ago and having obtained one ( it is my job ) , what do I think ?

Well , it is in a word , tremendous and possibly the best thing Apple has made and will set the trend for future iPhones and smartphones.

The size is smaller than the plus versions of the iPhone and while I loved the size of the iPhones in the plus size , after 4 days I am convinced that this is the correct size ( for me and maybe for you).

The Height: 143.6 mm (5.65 inches)

The Width: 70.9 mm (2.79 inches)

The screen is gorgeous with great colour representation and it is bright , really bright with the super retina HD OLED display.

The iPhone X is all about the swipe , you have to get used to the swipe , but once you get the hang of it , you will not want to go back.

You use swipe gestures to close apps , go to the Control Centre etc.

So what about FaceID?

Well it has worked for me and I was a big fan of the fingerprint reader , it sees my face and recognises me in the light , in the dark , from the side , with my glasses on and with my glasses off and only a couple of times have I resorted to entering my pin.

What about the camera ?

The front facing camera has improved dramatically and the rear camera is superb

What about the battery?

With the updates to iOS11 and given that it always takes a week for your smartphone to settle down , it has been great allowing me to easily get through a day.

Should you buy it for the animojis

You can create animojis with the iPhone X which read your face and enable you to send talking messages to people. Its great fun

Animoji wolf

Should you buy it ?

It is expensive , let me start with that.

If you want the latest and the greatest , this is it.

If you have an older iPhone , say 2 to 3 years old you will notice the difference

I think it is a superior product in the marketplace that bears serious consideration for those looking for an high end smartphone.

I love this smartphone
