Still Running Windows 8 – It’s Time To Make The Move To Windows 8.1

So you have Windows 8 or your computer came with Windows 8 , so why havent you made the move to Windows 8.1

Think of Windows 8.1 as the equivalent of Windows XP Service Pack 2 , they fixed a lot that was wrong.

So how do you get Windows 8.1 ?

First make sure you have done all your Windows updates in Windows 8 and have done all the updates in the Windows Store.

Then open up the Windows store and there should be a an icon to upgrade to Windows 8.1.

Click on the icon and agree and it will start to download. It is a big download ( 3.5gb ) so it will take some time.

  1. Hi Richard i have windows8 on my HP computer about 15 mths old but windows 8.1 installation can’t be completed it tells me something happened internet is stll online Cheers Bundy

    You need to make sure you have followed the steps above and that you have installed all your apps from the windows store
