A PUP is a potentially unwanted program and a wrapper is a program that you download that comes with multiple unwanted programs and add ons.

These are extremely prolific now with users going to a site , say download.com , and attempting to download say a video editing program , then having to agree to a proliferation of other programs , browser add ons.

A bit of research and not agreeing to all things that are presented to you on your computer screen will go a long way to keeping your computer free from such infections.
