The Best Android Tablet I Have Used – The Dell Venue 8 7000

For the past week I have been using a Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet and I am very impressed.

First the screen is an 8.4 inch OLED WQXGA touch with Infinity bezel edge-to-edge display with 2560 x1600 resolution , in short it looks really good.

The tablet currently runs Android 4.4 Kit Kat and I am sure it will go to Lollipop in time.

This tablet only runs a couple of Dell apps and a McAfee Security app so it does not suffer from the bloatware issues that some makers put on their Android devices.

When you hold it , you can see and feel that it is well made , very thin – 6mm , with a nice aluminium body and none of the plastic feel that seems to have used in some Android tablets.

The sound on the Venue surprised me with 2 speakers , left and right , great for watching videos and listening to music with MaxxAudio software.

I have achieved 2 days of battery life with this tablet but would always advise you to charge your devices daily to avoid disappointment.

The Venue use Intel’s RealSense Snapshot Camera technology, which uses three cameras that are mounted on the back to capture depth. The added depth information that is captured with each image will allow you to edit the focal point of a photo after you take it and add background effects.

Here are some photos I took.

So what did an Apple fan think of the Dell Venue 8 7000 ?

I showed it to a friend of mine who only uses Apple products and he was so impressed he wanted to borrow it to take away on holidays.
