The New MacBook Pro Is Coming – It’s All About The Touch

Apple this morning made some announcements:

The first was on an update to Apple TV which currently will not be available in in Australia  (surprise , surprise ).

The next was on the MacBook Pro Apples premium laptop line.

New MacBook Pro laptops are coming and Apple have again been controversial by removing the FN key from the keyboard because now they have the Touch Bar.

The new Touch Bar will allow Touch ID so you can login with your fingerprint 

Touch Bar replaces the standard system functions we’re used to it, such as setting , brightness , volume with a slide or tap. 

The Touch Bar adapts to whatever software you’re using such as your browser , photos , videos ( including editing ) and responds to gestures , taps as it is multi touch.

The new MacBook Pro comes in 13 inch and 15 inch sizes and are lighter , more power efficient and have a lot better screens that are more brighter and detailed than previous models.

At just 14.9 mm thin, the 13-inch MacBook Pro is 17 per cent thinner and 23 per cent less volume than the previous generation, and over 200 grams lighter at just 1.37 kilograms. The new 15-inch MacBook Pro, at just 15.5 mm thin, is 14 per cent thinner and 20 per cent less volume than before, and weighing just 1.83 kilograms, is over 200 grams lighter.

The New MacBook Pro Also Offers:

  • Much larger Force Touch trackpads — 46 per cent larger on the 13-inch MacBook Pro and twice as large on the 15-inch MacBook Pro;
  • More responsive and comfortable typing on the keyboard with a second-generation butterfly mechanism;
  • Louder, more true-to-life sound through speakers with double the dynamic range and improved bass;

Battery life is quoted as all day 10 hour.

The new MacBook Pro can be ordered now with delivery in 2 – 3 weeks and start at $2699 for the entry level MacBook Pro with Touch ID
