Apple Announcements on iPhones & iOS7

Apple will release 2 new iPhones next week on the 20th September.

The iPhone 5S which is the premium iPhone and the iPhone 5C which is a cheaper iPhone and will come in 5 colors , the price of the iPhone 4 has also come down in price.

Pricing details can be found here

Australia will be the first country in the world to see Apple’s new iPhone 5s, which goes on sale from Friday 20 September

The iPhone 5S comes in three colours (gold, silver and “space grey”).

It uses the A7 chip and an M7 motion coprocessor, which Apple claims can improve battery life but enables the phone to do more and do it quicker than before. The new iPhone 5S will be noticeably quicker than the iPhone 5.

One of the big drainers of battery life is getting a network signal when you are driving in your car , the new operating system knows when you are in your car and knows when you are walking and stationary so will not be continually pinging for a signal.

Video and games will look even better on the new iPhone with the new processors.

The new iPhones will run iOS 7 and includes a built-in fingerprint sensor within the home button ( a feature Apple has labelled Touch ID)

We have had fingerprint technology before but Apple has taken this technology and made it work.

Your fingerprint can also approve purchases from the iTunes Store, the App Store and the iBooks Store, so you don’t have to enter your password. ( This is big )

The Touch ID will work no matter which way you put your finger on the sensor and more than one fingerprint can be registered on it.

The camera in the iPhone has a bigger sensor and increased pixels , this means more light in which equals better photos and the iPhone can shoot a burst mode of 10 frames a second . The flash has been Improved and you can shoot video at 120fps which means you can get a hi-def slow motion shot of say someone jumping into water.

it will include iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers and Keynote for iOS for free , that means you can edit photos , video , read , create and edit documents , spreadsheets and presentations.

iOS7 will also be released next wed the 18th Sept , this is the new operating system for iPhones / iPads

You may want to wait to install as it is different , very different , ( it is good though ) and you will need to do some research so you are comfortable with the differences and for those people using an iPhone 4 you may want to hold off as there are some reports that it may slow your phone down.
