iOS 8 Issues
Apple have just released 8.0.2 , check for the update , go to settings , general , software update
This update appears to have fixed the issues with both iPads and iPhones
However those people on iPhone 4 should be cautious about installing and i would tend towards the “not installing it side”
If you are having issues with your iPhone 5 , 5s or 5c crashing from the update or your iPad here is a possible solution until an update appears.
First
- Close All Open Apps
- Sign Out of your Account
- Perform a Reset by going to Settings – General – Then press Reset All Settings (No Data will be Lost)
Next
- Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time -( a hard reset )
- Then Wait for the Apple logo to Appear
- When the Apple logo appears – release the buttons
See how this goes
If it does not work try a restore by connecting your device to your computer and open iTunes
Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
There will be an update appearing in the next few days 8.0.2 which should hopefully fix these issues.
If you were one of the few people that installed 8.0.1 which caused major issues here is what you need to do.
Bending Your iPhone
If you attempt to bend your iPhone you will void your warranty and break your iPhone
Do not try and do this with any phone
Worked for me. My Retina iPad mini was crashing (blue screen, of all things!) every few minutes. Reset all settings fixed it, but you do lose wifi passwords.
