Driver Updaters – You May Want To Steer Clear

Driver updaters are freely available on the internet which offer to scan your computer and find the updated software that is supposedly needed

Unfortunately a lot of driver updaters that are “ free “ and available are malware traps and appear on your computer from “ drive by downloads”

Let Windows Update find the drivers and software needed.

When you installed the devices such as printers there was an option to let the maker of the printer install software and its updates

If you have a graphics card the maker of the graphics cards – nVidia or AMD have software on their sites that you can install software from their sites

However that free driver updating software – I would steer clear of and uninstall
