Home Made DVDs – It Maybe Time To Make A Digital Copy

Many people would have DVDs that they made 10 – 15 years ago of family events , weddings etc.

Recently I had a client ask if I could make digital copies of the DVD which means making a file of the DVD that can be played on a computer or then streamed via wifi to a TV.

Unfortunately about 25% of the old DVDs did not work now.

This can be for a number of reasons:

  • Poor storage
  • The DVDs were cheap to begin with

You can make a digital copy using Handbrake a free solution and even if the old DVDs work it si good to have that backup copy.
