Lets Talk About Backing Up Your Smartphone

Whether it is swapping to a new smartphone , recovering data and settings after a disaster you really need to ensure that you back up your smartphone – Android or Apple.

Apple – iPhone

iPhone users should be using iCloud backup – makes it so much easier as it creates a snapshot of your phone so that all your apps and data is duplicated over

Apple give you 5GB of space but really you should be putting your hand in your pocket and paying the $1.49 a month for 50GB of data if you have used the 5GB they give you for free

This also makes changing iPhones very easy as you restore from an iCloud backup – your phone will be the same as the last backup – Apps , photos , login passwords , contacts , calenders.

Android owners should ensure that backup is turned on for Google and that you know your Google email and password , turn on backup all data and settings.
