I am always asked about “who can see what” when posting on Facebook so lets review some key settings.
Open your Facebook page and go to the top right hand corner under ‘Home” select “Privacy “
Then select ” Timeline and Tagging ” and click “Edit Settings”
Here are your options if you have ” Friends ” highlighted in the options
Who can post on your timeline?
- Friends
- No One
Who can see what others post on your timeline?
- Everyone
- Friends of friends
- Friends
- Custom
- or Lists ( if you have them )
Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline
- Off or you can choose to enable this feature
Who can see posts you’ve been tagged in on your timeline?
- Everyone
- Friends of friends
- Friends
- Custom
- or Lists ( if you have them )
Review tags friends add to your own posts on Facebook
- Off or you can choose to enable this feature
Who sees tag suggestions when photos that look like you are uploaded?
- Friends
- No One
So whats my point here , get some education about Facebook learn how it works , understand that it changes, that nothing will stay the same and that if you disregard the settings, dont learn how it works then your right to whinge and complain is vastly diminished.
