Remote Tech Support – Are You Getting It?

ARE YOU A HOME OWNER OR A SMALL BUSINESS AND SUBSCRIBE TO A TECH SUPPORT SERVICE – YOU MAY NOT BE GETTING WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR

I have had clients who have paid $500 plus a year then paid for additional software for their antivirus on top of this.

This supposed Tech Support Firm then login to their computers once a month – supposedly to check security on their computer – what do they do – in my experience – not much.

Then once a year they assist you with buying / renewing a new copy of the antivirus.

So the last client had old copies of their antivirus on their computer– they needed to be removed properly! They had basic maintenance on their computer to keep them protected not done.

So the question is why are they paying this and who are these people /businesses?

In a lot of cases they are the scammers that call you at night to inform you there is an issue with your computer.

Research the business before committing and do not let strangers logon to your computer.

If you have subscribed to one of these then get an independent tech person , local computer person to actually check and see if you are being taken advantage of.

BTW the local computer business will do a better job.
