Wifi Router Setup – Here Are Some Things To Do

Setting up a new wifi router , there are a couple of things you should do

First , change your logon to the router from the default that the maker will give you.

You will be given this opportunity during the setup procedure.

Most people will stick with the default which will be along the lines of :

User Name : Admin

Password : Admin or password

Change this to something you know and make sure you keep a copy somewhere.

Next :Change the default name of the router from its standard , Linksys or Belkin etc

Then : Check if there are any firmware updates , there will be this option in the router menu

Finally :Turn on wifi security using WPA2 and have a good password
