Smartphones – What To Do If It Is Lost Or Stolen

Smartphones – iPhone or Android – you will be devastated if it is lost or stolen.

Firstly make sure it is locked with a pin code , pattern , face id etc , i still find people that do not want a locked phone because it is ” all too hard”.

Backup – have you backed up your device

First – iPhones

Key points : Know your Apple ID and password – Make sure you have Find My iPhone turned on – login to iCloud.com and attempt to locate it.

Android Phones

To use Find My Device, a lost Android device must:

  • Be turned on
  • Be signed in to a Google Account
  • Be connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi
  • Be visible on Google Play
  • Have Location turned on
  • Have Find My Device turned on
