Facebook Messenger Malware – What To Look Out For

Facebook Messenger, which is used by most of the two billion users of Facebook has a malware threat , which has been pointed out by security experts , that could put users at risk. A Facebook Messenger user will receive a message from a friend which contains: The word ‘Video’ with the name of the sender An emoji A shortened link If users click on the link, they are redirected to a Google Drive page with a video play button. This is where warning bells should be ringing. if you click on that button it will lead to a YouTube-like page where you will be asked to install an extension for Chrome.
