Google PhotoScan – Digitise Those Printed Photos

PhotoScan by Google Photos is a way you scan in your printed photos , yes some of you reading this still get and have printed photos , into your digital library. It is very simple to do; Download the PhotoScan App to your iOS device ( iPhone ) or your Android device (smartphone). Once installed find a photo , position the photo in the screen of the smartphone , click the photo button then click on the four circles that appear on the screen and you are done. Your photo will then be on your camera roll and or in Google Photos and remember with Google Photos it will be sorted by faces and places as well.

I am constantly asked questions about photos and devices ( cameras , smartphones , tablets ) , so here are the top questions I am asked. How do I import photos in Windows ? When you plug in your device , Windows should see your device and give you options to import. This should work with smartphones / tablets – Apple devices – Android devices along with cameras that you plug in. Goodbye Picasa – Hello Google Photos

Google have announced that Picasa there photo editing and storage platform will cease support from the 15th March. If you want to continue using it that is fine HOWEVER it is obvious they want you to go to Google Photos  However, for those of you who don’t want to use Google Photos or who still want to be able to view specific content, such as tags, captions or comments, we will be creating a new place for you to access your Picasa Web Albums data. That way, you will still be able to view, download, or delete your Picasa Web Albums, you just won’t be able to create, organize or edit albums (you would now do this in Google Photos).  One thing to make clear is that none of this is happening today—if you have a Picasa Web Album you can keep using it as normal. Google Photos For Your Computer , Tablet , Smartphone

Google have released Google photos to keep your photos organised and stored for all your devices. Google Photos can be accessed from your Google account on your browser for your computer  The Google Photos app can be installed on your smartphone, tablet  ( iOS or Android ) and means that you can access all your photos across all devices. You can upload all your photos to Google then have access to them and be assured that you have a backup copy of all your photos.
