The Apple HomePod Is Out

The Apple HomePod is now available to buy and I received mine on friday so what are my initial thoughts.

First it is very easy to setup , turn it on , have your iPhone on WiFi , put your iPhone next to the HomePod and follow the onscreen setup.

Then just ask Siri to play music.

The sound is superb , no really really good.

The HomePod is about great music and Siri but you can also set reminders , ask Siri the weather , read a text message you receive on your iPhone , receive a call from your iPhone on the HomePod.

Cost of the HomePod is $499 and yes it is designed around the Apple ecosystem so those that are not Apple centric will currently miss out.

I highly recommend it for the sound alone as it sounds good no matter where you are in the room.
