The Heartbleed Vulnerability & What You Need to Do & Is Your Password Gone

Many would have heard about the Heartbleed security issue affecting many popular websites .

This ” security bug ” enables “badguys” to read user names and passwords that are stored on the websites server memory.

This a major security nightmare.

So should you race in and change your password:

  • No , only change your password if you know the site you use was vulnerable 
  • Only if the site you use has been patched 

If you race in and change your password and the site has not been patched you have just given out your password again.
