How do you change your Apple ID to another email address and not lose your apps or data.

To change your Apple ID email address, follow these steps:

  • Sign out of iCloud on all your devices, including your iPhone, Mac, Apple TV, and PC

  • Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in

  • In the Account section, choose Edit

  • Choose Change Apple ID

  • Enter the email address that you want to use - If you have a me.com , mac.com or an iCloud address you won't be able to change it

  • Choose Continue

If you changed your Apple ID to a third-party email address, (Gmail , outlook.com or your telcos email) check your email for a verification code which you will need to enter when prompted.

Please note that changing your Apple ID email address won’t cause any loss of access to your contacts, purchases, or other account information.

Do not under any circumstances just start another Apple ID , as you will lose access to your current apps and data that you bought under the old Apple ID
