Here’s What You Need To Know Before Windows 10 Support Ends In 4 Years Time

The measured rollout of Window 11 for eligible devices has begun!

Don’t panic if you are still using Microsofts’ older Operating Systems though, whilst Windows 7 has been sleeping with the fishes since January of 2020, Windows 10 will still have support from Microsoft until October 14th 2025, giving us approximately another 4 years to get ready for the inevitable transition.

What does it mean for you and your devices?

Well, a percentage of people I see are still running Windows 7 and 8 on their computers and have yet to update to Windows 10, which is always my recommendation.

It’s always best to be utilising the latest software you can get, so you can take advantage of security updates, which are no longer available once Microsoft pulls it’s support.

You can still use the older software of course, but along with the vital security updates, you’ll not have access to newer added features.

Remember, the problem with sticking with your older OS is that without those security updates you are putting both your computer and valuable data at great risk of Malware, Viruses, and potential Hacking. It’s completely free so why wouldn’t you!?

Eligible Windows 10 computers have had access to free upgrades to Windows 11 since October last year, with the rollout of free updates continuing in 2022.

If you are still running Windows 7 or 8, you will need to need to upgrade to Windows 10 before you can even check if your PC is compatible for Windows 11.

Remember Windows Update will tell you whether your computer can run Windows 11
