Richard Pascoe - FIVEaa Tech Talk with Leith Forrest - Wednesday 7th Oct 2026
Tech Talk with Leith Forrest – Wednesday 7th October 2026 (FIVEaa Afternoons)
On the show: Remembering former FIVEaa announcer Peter Godfrey, how people are now being paid to train AI to do human jobs, worries about AI job losses and the lack of guardrails, ads coming to the free version of ChatGPT, whether AI could be used to attack infrastructure like power, water and gas, and why some businesses are running Chinese AI models in-house. Plus Richard’s advice for landing an entry-level IT job with a Cert III.
Your calls: A cancelled Google One subscription and running out of storage, a phone kept by a repairer, an ‘unusual traffic’ warning on an iPad (clear the Safari history), apps and banking not loading on an iPhone 12 (checking for a VPN and switching off Wi-Fi), and fake ‘PDF is about to expire’ pop-ups on Samsung phones caused by too many open browser tabs.
