Don’t Be Scammed A Second Time

If you have fallen for a scam and notified the bank they will normally want you to get a tech to check your devices and advice on any course of action that maybe needed so you are safe to get back on the internet.

Lets look though at a couple of things though.

You should be free to choose a reputable IT person for this job not an offhanded recommendation from the bank as many get.

There job is to look after your money – which if you have been scammed is a subject for another discussion – not give tech advice.

But how much should you pay ? – Not $4000 as one listener did recently.

Depending on the level of the scam – it normally takes 1 -2 hours so when one listener who recently paid $4000 contacted me – it looked like she was scammed again.

So what do you do ?

Get a quote, ask how long will this take and don’t be pressured into paying a sum of money that is unrealistic.
