Narwal Freo Z Ultra Review: The Robot Buddy You  Know You Need

Fantasised about a robot that not only vacuums and mops but also seems to possess the intelligence of a seasoned housekeeper? The Narwal Freo Z Ultra might just fit your bill.

I have been testing this for the last couple of months as product reviews are about using a product over time not over a week.

Intelligence & Design

The Freo Z Ultra is a sleek, futuristic looking device that would stand up well in a sci-fi movie. Great looks: plus this robot is equipped with dual HD cameras and a dual-chip AI system, allowing it to identify and avoid over 120 types of obstacles.

The Narwal Freo Z Ultra will map your house and all the rooms allowing you to vacuum , vacuum and mop , selected rooms or room or the entire house.

Watching it navigate, and place itself just so, to pop up over differing floor levels is amusing -  It's also great at unobtrusively cleaning up while respecting your personal space.

Cleaning Performance

With a suction power of 12,000Pa, the Freo Z Ultra doesn't just pick up dirt—it tries to inhales it. It’s rotating dual mop heads apparently apply 1.2 kg of downward pressure, at 180 RPM, ensuring that even the most stubborn stains are addressed. Take notice of the brushes and pads for getting into the tight corners and skirting boards.

However here is a great tip for you !

You need to set the ‘clean the carpet’ mode as default in the app? By default, when the unit recognises a carpet, the Z Ultra will go cross the carpet without actually cleaning it due to Chinese traditions. I had no idea.

Self-Maintenance

One of the top-notch features is its self-cleaning ability. The Freo Z Ultra cleans your floors but then also cleans itself, drying its mop pads with “adaptive hot water washing”. Only ‘talking’ to you when water refilling or simply emptying the dirty water tank is required. It will ask to top up the detergent for moping the floors .It's the embodiment of low maintenance!

User Friendly Experience

The Freo Z Ultra is packed with features, very user-friendly, while still impressing those that are a little more tech savvy. Control via the smartphone app, and, for those who prefer voice commands, your new employee is compatible with Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa. Your floor specialist with a PA’s attention, that never needs days off, jumps to work at any crazy shift time you choose without question, and again, never, ever, asks for that raise!

By the way its very quiet.

 In Conclusion

The Narwal Freo Z Ultra is great demonstration of ‘the future is here’ home automation, feeling like more than just a robot mop and vacuum. While it does come with a premium price tag, the features justify the investment. Do yourself a favour and Google the hourly rate you would pay for a floor clean in your area right now. Divide that hourly rate into the price point and I think you’ll find you wouldn’t get many visits!

I have always been a “ you get what you pay for “ when it comes to tech and the Narwal Freo Z Ultra falls into that catagory.

I could not be happier with the Narwal Freo Z Ultra

For those in Adelaide and/or around Australia, be sure to purchase the Freo Z Ultra through Narwal's Australian website.
